Coming up in November on Fort Myers Beach is both the Paint the Beach event as well as the annual American Sandsculpting Championship!
Paint the Beach... is the first plein air painting competition to be held on Fort Myers Beach. The dates will be November 8-14. Prize money is generous - first prize is $1,000, second is $750, third is $500. There will also be a prize for the "Quick Draw" competition to be held on November 13.
Afterwards, awards will be presented at a reception and gala at Santini Marina Plaza & the works will be on sale to the public.
I'm starting a new series of posts about the different condos on Fort Myers Beach so you can see in more detail what Fort Myers Beach has to offer.
The North area of Fort Myers Beach contains wonderful opportunities, exciting island nightlife and wonderful shopping for casual beach wear. Fishing opportunities at Matanzas Pass bridge and boating from one of the many marinas in this area add to this casual relaxed location.
The first condo I would like to highlight in the North area is Batiki West. From Batiki West you can walk to shopping & it's right across from the beach. The units are all 2 bedroom/2 bath with open balconies that take in bay & gulfviews. It is located near Time Square and the post office. Some boat docks are available as well as some underbuilding parking.
